Really cool track. It feels like it could be just at home in a film noir or maybe a cyberpunk. I don't know, for some reason it makes me think of blade runner. Perhaps its the improvised quality? Each section flows perfectly into each other even when it is a relatively drastic switch. I think bittersweet is the right word for this, I imagine a character a bit like Boromir who starts out "crooked" but in the end makes a sacrifice for the greater good.

To me, this piece perfectly matches the art it was inspired by. It's hard to describe precisely, but it feels very loose and spaced apart, I feel like I can just fall backwards indefinitely into the track. There is a very free feeling to the track, I almost want to call it a perfectly imperfect sound. It manages to convince me that it is free-floating despite following distinct patterns and a fixed rhythm. It's not that it actually breaks its boundaries, but perhaps that it doesn't feel like it has to follow them. I'm probably just rambling, I really liked the track and it works really well with its art.

A fun track, it feels like the majority of it is building up to one really huge release which I feel more than pays off. It has a lot of ideas that come together in a way that I suppose is very appropriate for a piece titled supernova. I really like the drums, at times they feel a lot like drums you might hear in a math rock song yet still manage to be cohesive and appropriate for the track.

thank you so much!! i'm glad you enjoyed it :D

I like this a lot. Felt like a mixture of a retro video game track and an anime intro which works in a strange way I didn't expect. Very chaotic for the inspiration, but I think it's a good chaotic. I don't think there's a single uninteresting moment in the whole track.

I'm not sure what it is but this song feels really familiar and nostalgic to me, kind of like a bittersweet memory condensed in audio form. I think I hear a guitar but it's very quiet most of the song, it doesn't really bring down the track but I wish it was a bit louder. Simple but effective, and in my opinion well executed :)

Trve as fvkk. Sound quality might be too good.

Very cool stuff, riffs almost felt hypnotic in a weird way. Very fun song to listen to, couldn't think of what band in particular it reminded me of but its very good.

good shit! I like the clean part early on and this has good riffs throughout. The lead part is played very well and I'm glad to hear a bass which oh so many black metal bands tend to neglect, though I do think the bass could be just a little bit louder. The only real complaint I have is that it kinda feels like there's not a whole lot going on until the solo, maybe just one more instrument or a vocal track could help or maybe adding a bit more complexity to the riffs? idk, it's not much to the detriment as it's still kvlt as fvkk!

Banana-head responds:

Thanks for the review! Id love to have vocals on my songs but i cant sing or write lyrics so i just make instrumentals. I try not putting too much solos unless i think the songs need it, and as much as i like complexity i try not putting much of it into black metal riffs.

Reminds me a lot of Castlevania. I really like the little descending triplet thing that happens from time to time. Very cool stuff

DanJohansen responds:

Appreciate it a lot man! Surprised you'd see Castlevania in this :D

I like the mixture of genres, it's mostly like a video game track (the only instrument traditionally from metal I hear is the guitar) but the riffs are distinctly metal. Speaking of riffs, you riff pretty nice! The song feels simple but that certainly doesn't hold it back. Also, your english is very understandable, so no need to worry about it.

ctr34 responds:

Yeah you re right, the song is simple. I didnt want to put too much time on this project since I have to focus on other things. But as you said, I also liked the riffs and thats why I wanted to finish the song. Thanks for your comment!

sounds cool, I need to listen to more Napalm Death

GoreBastard responds:

Cheers man, ND are one of my favourite bands of all time but I'm too lazy to cover the entire thing.

I love metal and punk, my favorite bands are Gorguts, Demilich, Gridlink, Subhumans, and Mutiilation
